Commodores Message

To our working club members and volunteers,

I would like to begin with sincere praise and thanks. Without your generous contribution of time and effort, our club simply would not function. Our volunteers—both on the water and on land—performed admirably under some of the most challenging conditions any club has faced. Your commitment and resilience did not go unnoticed.

To the race teams who travelled from all corners of our states to support the VSBC Gold Cup event, your effort and dedication were nothing short of impressive. We thank you all for your support. To our loyal spectators who attended in good faith, we thank you for your understanding and apologise that we were unable to run a full card of events.

Congratulations to all competitors who reached the podium, with solid numbers across all classes. The racing was close—and in some cases, a little too close for comfort—but that intensity is exactly what our spectators and fans come to see.

The club is now gearing up and fully engaged in planning for our next major event, the Yarrawonga Power Boat Spectacular in April. I would also like to remind members that the success of our events relies on the participation of all members. It is a shared responsibility and an agreement of membership that we step up and volunteer when asked.

When communications are sent out by the club, please acknowledge them and accept a role in whatever way you can. Consider what you can contribute to support your club and help ensure our events continue to succeed. Active participation is what keeps this club strong.
