The weather gods were on our side with some light showers clearing in the morning and an off shore wind making conditions tricky but raceable.

The day had a relaxed Country feel with 30 boats attending and 24 races completed. 

It was great to see Jason Jones attend with his first outing in the BAD boat Ruthless and Brenton Walsh in KAVs trying a new setup prior to the world's in January.  We had a couple of 6 Litre Hydros and 1 Oz Lite. Speed bracket numbers were strong as were 25hp and Formula Future. 

A special mention to VSBC members Bride_Racing who took 2 boats to Tarree to compete in the AFPGP which happened to fall on the same weekend as our club day. Josie, Darren, Lachie and Riley do a power of work for the VSBC. Leading up to this club day was no different even though they would not be there.

It was also fantastic to have Connor Patterson volunteer to be OD for the day with the guidance of Lee Kavanagh . Connors boat is not race ready so to his credit Connor stepped up to help out his club. Lee's boat was competing so also a big commitment from Lee. 

This was a significant day for the Patterson family and a new page in the VSBC history book as Connor managed the race meeting out of the Control Tower named after his Grandfather Tom Patterson. Hopefully other race boat owners and drivers can take inspiration from both Connor and Lee to help out at race days where they can.
