Ranga Racing

Was a long year with many things not going the way we wanted, including an engine failure or two plus belts jumping off and destroying the Gold Cup weekend. Gearbox failure at Yarrawonga ending our weekend, where we won our first 105MPH race.

Bluey has been an awesome performer in keeping boat running, lending an engine after mine died and encouraging the full use of the engine by saying "are you holding it flat or what". We have had a great time, I cannot thank Bluey enough, thanks Jojo for all the sandwiches, Ray for helping me wherever he could especially in Berri where we took the 85mph race out for weekend and the Tucky crew were great on that weekend.

I'm a lucky man to have my beautiful Megan on my side, Onwards and upwards for next year. Go the VSBC!

AFPGP, Australian Junior Championships, Laidley, Queensland and 2024-25 season wrap up for Bride_Racing. Bride Racing trekked to St George Motorboat Club in Sydney for the final AFPGP Round, and for Presentation Night.

Riley raced so well. She's fast in the straight and her turns were great. She ended up with a 4th for the event. Lachie didn't race in this round so was put to crew duties.

At the presentation, we all frocked up for the AFPGP 15-year celebrations. Riley was third in J3 for the season and Lachie received his certificate for the Australian F4 Championship, and the Encouragement Award. Lachie also announced he's stepping up to a F2 next season. It's in the shed already and there's more news coming. After all the excitement from Saturday night, Sunday saw Riley contest the Australian Junior Championships, also at St George.

There was quite a large field and the conditions were great. Riley raced consistently and her boat went well. She didn't make it to the podium, but has acquitted herself well all season.

After NSW the Crew Chief went above and beyond, opting for the long drive from NSW to Laidley, Queensland to support the Lockyer Powerfest at the end of June. Meanwhile, the rest of the team took a quicker route—flying in FIFO-style to join the action and flying home with some dodgy characters.

Riley's weekend started off rocky as she adjusted to a different handicapping system, which threw off her first two races. Once she found her groove, the tables turned—she began overtaking competitors and brought some fierce energy to the track. Her efforts landed her a third place overall, capped off with a win in her final race of the weekend, and her last ever race as a J3. Now we eagerly await her next move to see which boat she'll be driving next season. Lachie enjoyed himself. We were invited by Hole Shot Racing to compete against the Queenslanders. Lachie raced alongside Fletcher Donnelly, passing along valuable tips and racing wisdom as Fletcher embarks on his journey in F4. With the season ahead, Lachie will step into his F2 and take on new challenges as Bride Tribe turns the page. The extended family came to help in Queensland and it was lovely to see the cousins. After racing finished, we did the rounds of Presentation nights including the Hall of Fame night for the APBA, the VOC Presentation night and the VSBC Presentation night. Lachie was awarded Australian F4 Champion, while Riley came 2nd in the Vic Series for J3, graduated from J3 and won the "Auntie" trophy from the VSBC.

Thank you to all those who support Bride_Racing.
